Ok, this should be the easiest thing in the world.

I'm trying to cut a section of a track in Acid and paste it to a new track.
I've tried everything... any help will help me from going insane.

Thank you,
E

Select a region (click-drag across a blank space or in the timeline
graticule). Select the track (click on it in the fader area will do).
Right-click | Copy.

Some times things are so obvious they are obscure ;-)

You can't do that in Acid. Each track has a dedicated loop, you paint in the
places you want to hear the loop. Tracks in Live can have different loops.

Suggest look in Help | Index | Copy | Cutting Copying and Pasting events,
and delve down to "copying a time selection". Also can copy whole tracks,
events, and envelopes.
