Dear Friends

A silly question:

I've never played Red Baron 3D glide version since I don't have
a 3DFX card. Never seen a 3dFX screen real-life of any flight sim:
Jane's F-15, WWII Fighters, Flanker etc for that matter.

So should I go online at ebay and bid for a good
3DFx card or can I play glide games easily with the latest offerings
from nVidia, ATI etc.?

Regards
Frankie

Search for Glide Wrapper programs that emulate GLIDE with Direct3D
and/or OpenGL...

This one seems popular.

A Glide wrapper doesn't perform nor look the same as a 3DFX card.
Quite often glide wrappers have glitches, ie; JF15. I wouldn't mind
having a Voodoo5 on my second machine instead of the GF4 it currently
has.

My second (old) machine, PIII with Voodoo3 card is still going strong, but,
F15 and WWII Fighters play fine on my P4 with Radeon 9700 Pro, so not really
needed. Don't have Red Baron so can't comment.
