Hi guys, and girls
Im thinking in buying a new screen, and this time im going for a LCD.
As i live in Portugal, and there isnt much of a choice (certain brands are not sell here, dont ask why), i reduced my choices to 3

Sony SDM-HX73
LG 1720P
Neovo X-17AV

Sony and Neovo are the same price: €690; and LG is around €595.
Neovo is the one that show the real response time (R/F): 15/10 ms

What do u think about this 3?
Which one is, in ur opinion, the best for gaming, movies and some work (lol)

Cheers

I feel your pain, I too have had this problem with a couple forums, not this one though.

I personally haven't had any experience with any of these monitors. Try searching Tom's for a review or comparison of LCD's.

I have a Dell 18" ultraSharp LCD and it is awesome! Not one dead pixel and absolutely no ghosting when playing games. Don't know if you can get a Dell where you are, but if you can, I would do it.

Hope this helps,
Adios amigo!

Go with the sony. Its a 16ms panel and should rock with gaming. I chose between the Viewsonic vp171s or the Sony hx73 and i chose the 171s since it was 60$ cheaper and they both use the same 16ms panel..

Another vote for the VP171 series monitor (you can get it as a VP171B for black or VP171S for silver) Same panel, and it does have the added feature of a rotating screen instead of the cheap speakers the Sony puts on their monitor.
