Most everyone will recommend Nero Burning ROM. It's $49 for a serial number, if you just want an electronic download instead of a getting it retail. It doesn't need like 5 patches for it to work, too.

If Easy CD Creator 4 doesn't work, first try disabling the CD writing feature for Windows XP. Just right-click your CD writer, then properties, go to the Recording tab, and uncheck "Enable CD Recording on this drive". If that doesn't work, then you'll probably need to get Nero.

Great advice, I just went to the nero site before I read your reply and saw all the patches it recommended, didn't look good.
I will try my easy cd4 first, have you heard of it working on xp? If not I will get nero.
Thanks

Whoa...all the patches? It only gives one update. The rest are plug-ins, and updates for older version. But, if you get Nero 5.5.7.8, then it'll just be that update, and nothing else. Compare that to Roxio Easy CD Creator 5 and 3 patches.

When I checked out the Roxio page for Easy CD Creator 4, I didn't see anything for support with Windows XP.

Later...

This guy talks sense. I think Nero is much better in XP but i can see the attraction of the pretty menus in easyCD. Nero seems to work better though.

I use EasyCD Creator 5 Platinum and CloneCD for my CD burning needs... haven't had any issues with either of them. Haven't even had to disable the built-in burner support that comes with XP.

I haven't tried EasyCD Creator 4 with XP... it may work after all the updates have been done, but so far I haven't heard anyone say they have EasyCD Creator 4 working under XP.
