You started to mention Clear in the title, if you have no other wifi available and Clear service coverage is available for you, just attach the Clear modem to a USB connection, configure it and set your network to default to the Clear connection.
It is possible to use the built in PC wifi to create an adhoc network to share the Clear connection.
