memory shows less in XP Pro

My memory in the BIOS shows 512mb as well as in the windows system properties under the general information. But when I run MSinfo 32.exe it only shows that I have 256mb. Which one is accurate and is there something wrong with my memory? I also ran " Troubleshooter" under the multiple burn in tests and it also shows negitive problems and 512mb.

That's weird...I'll have to look at this when I go home. What's this troubleshooter under the multiple burn in tests? Where is this? I would suggest to also try PCPitStop[/url] online system testing, but it takes the info from the same placed on your machine anyway. I guess it can't hurt, though, right?

What programs do you run? Perhaps you can run a lot of them, to see how your system can handle it. It shouldn't have a noticible hiccup if it's got 512MB of memory. YMMV
