What's the difference between SP4 and FF3? Which is more realistic? I have
Windows ME, 1ghz, 256 ram, GF 3 card... Will FF3 run on my comp?

Thanks,

I think there's not much between the two - though my personal
preference is FF3. Both require a *lot* of re-learning with resperct
to weapons systems etc.

You may be pushed to getting a decent framerate on your system though.

Whatever you do - you really need to dump that crock of pooh that is
ME. Just more problems than it's worth. You may even *need* to, as I
think FF3 requires Win2k or even XP - I forget. You may need to Google
around a bit.

You're 1/2 right Adamski, FF3 wouldn't run on ME or 98 but the latest
version of FF3 (FF3.1) does. You really need to go here -
http://www.freefalcon.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=10039&sid=c1322a34e4847791e2e459969711317a
and check out the forum for help.
Freefalcon offers better graphics, more modern plane varients, and
some cool weather effect that the "SP" versions don't offer. I'm not
sure of the online campaign MP aspect of FF3.1, but FF3 was broken and
i've read its now fixed.

SP4.2 is the latest "SP" version out. Installation is quite a bit more
involved to do it correctly. It's what I use online... See -

I would strongly advise joining an online squadron like the Freebirds
( http://www.freebirdswing.org/ - then click on "Recruitment"). They
have a specific 4.2 install, a LOT of active members, and great
training. You can't learn any faster than going this route.

Good luck!

Btw, even though this version works on 98, you still need a fairly up to
date video card, as the installation mentions. I tried it on an old P4 98
pc of mine, with a GF 3, and still got the bad graphics.
