2 Nics 1 for LAN 1 wireless card for verizon mifi device

I am trying to set up my computer so that I can access my local network by way of the wired nic and restrict it so that it does not go out to the Internet for anything. I then want to use the built-in wireless card to access my Verizon 3G mifi For the Internet.

I've read some of the other forums and I don't quite understand them. could someone help me step by step on how to achieve this? It would be greatly appreciated.

you will have to assign a static IP to your LAN card but NO gateway IP

this way all internet traffic will be directed through the MiFi

i tried that. i set my ip to something like 192.168.1.22 255.255.255.0 and no gateway but torrents were still downloading. i basically want to direct my torrents to 3g.
