Router Daisy Chain

Have the Linksys WRV200 router. There is evidence that the wireless signal is diminished. Would like to 'daisy chain' a second wireless router through one of the ports of the Linksys device. What exists is a DSL connection. Seeking guidance on what barriers might exist. My plan was to give the second router an IP address with a different subnet and connect it to a numbered port on the Linksys and a different broadcast channel. Guidance sought
