I have an Aardvark Audio Direct Pro Q10 and I've been trying to get
their tech support for weeks! Their voice and email boxes seem to be
full, and I'm wondering whether they're now defunct. They were around
when I tried to contact them a few months ago, but no more....

If anyone has any experience with this card, maybe you can weigh in
here:

Everything was working fine, recorded a whole album, for 2 months.
Then, my CPU burnt up. I replaced the CPU and motherboard, then
reinstalled the whole O/S (WinXP). Now, with the new equipment, my
Aardvark cuts out all the time.

I use SAW Studio and Cakewalk HomeStudio. It'll be playing along,
then suddenly the audio just stops (but the program keeps trying to
play, and thinks nothing is wrong).

I close that down, go to the Aardvark Manager and even though it
thinks it can talk to the Q10, the VU meters are stuck and things like
turning the phantom power on and off, or chaning the LED brightness,
have no effect. I have to reboot the computer to get the thing
working again.

I have no other PCI cards in the machine and have the onboard
soundcard turned completely off. It's like the Aardvark service
looses "sync" with the card.

If anyone has experienced this and knows a solution, please do tell.
Thanks!

Hi there,

Is the card next to the APG slot? Move it further away, they share the same IRQ.
Did you install the latest chipsetdrivers for the MB prior to installing the Aardvark?

Just when I think that Aardvark's customer service can't get any
worse, their old domain expired: http://www.aardvark-pro.com. "This
domain name expired on 11/06/2004 and is pending renewal or deletion."

Brilliant.

The new domain is: http://www.aardvarkaudio.com.

Before that I sent an email to technical support because of a dead
link to the download page, I get an email back saying:

"Due to the amount of spam received, please re-email your message to
lovell @ aardvark-pro.com and put 'Aardvark' in the subject line."

OK, so I forward the original message with "Aardvark" added into the
subject heading--it comes back again, since apparently they meant it
should *only* say "Aardvark" in the subject heading, nothing more.

Breathtakingly stupid.
