Which PSU is better and why?:
ENERMAX EG365AX ActivePFC FCA or Antec PP352XF.

And a kinda stupid question do both PSUs fit into the Antec SX630 and/or Antec SX630II case.

ENERMAX EG365AX is better. I have bad experience with older Antec PSU. The Antec PSU is a lot lighter than other PSU I have. There is a power sag once the computer with the Antec PSU is the only one shut down itself and all other computers runs fine. Both PSU will fit into the case.

No experience with the antec, but the enermax works well for me.

"Which PSU is better and why?"

1) Whichever one costs more.

2) You get what you pay for.

That is all.

"Whichever one costs more"
Not necessarily :(

There's a minute difference in price but the Enermax cost more where I live so I'll assume you prefer it to Asus.

They are both good, but no matter what you spend you may get a bad one. Antec and Enermax both make excellent psu's but if you spend some time searching posts here and elsewhere and you will find plenty of people who swear by either and plenty of people who swear at either. Its somewhat of a dice roll. If you can do it economically buy it locally as opposed to online so its easier to return if you get a bad one.

Take your pick, i believe both will serve your needs. Antec have had quality issues in the past, though recently ive seen great advances in reliability and quality.
Enermax have allways been good, but pricey.
Personally i like enermax as i have one, and 3 of my friends have one, and none of us have had problems.

You can get it at newegg.com. They have good price and customer service.

Reply to upec

Yeah but the postage to where I live will cost me to much.

Reply to Mikeislo

Ahhh yes. Transport costs. Shame

I've fixed 2 Enermaxes, on a 250W AT, another a 300W ATX. Both blew inverter transistors, probably when they were shorted. I don't think they would have if they'd been designed right. I haven't fixed any Antecs, but I've come across far fewer of them.

Do yourself a favour and check out PC Power & Cooling website. Their power supplies are superior, top quality, stable, and Made in U.S.A. It seems to me that a couple of the PSU's featured in the PS article can't even be found on the internet! What does that tell you? Forget the cheap imports....you get what you pay for!

did you see tom's review?
enermax:satisfactory http://www4.tomshardware.com/howto [...] es-12.html

Antec: good, diferent model

I have two antec tru power 430's, they are great

Reply to mattburklund

Yeah I've seen it but 430 is a little to expensive for me :(

How about the Verax from the article. I think that AOpen sells the power supply under their brand name. (At least that's what it looks like to me)

Can't get that where I live.

I´m getting a QTec myself. Their cheap, but from what I hear good. The 550W modell is supposedly better and more reliable then the 450(?)W modell.

What country are you in?

True330's and 380's should be easier to get these days then the PP352XF. PP352XF is to be phased out. Either case though you get a 3 year warranty.
