5 x times heavier maybe.... but the title is a little misleading as 5 x times bigger would mean length also

you are not thinking 3 dimensional. height x width x length or height x depth x length,
the X-axis, Y-axis, and oh ya the Z-axis. hence 3 dimensional measurements. do your remember plotting graphs in 3D XYZ-axis

Just don't call it unsinkable.

The best comment I saw on this ship went something like this...

If our nation (America) weren't involved in senseless wars, we could buy one of these boats EVERY DAY and break even in terms of costs. That boat is close to our daily cost of waging war around the planet.

Just some food for thought.

And the big shot politicians can't figure out why the nation is broke.

The funny part is they've probably half-completed one that is 25% bigger already.

And the contrarian asks ...
Who really wants to go on vacation with the population of a small city?

Sweet... But can the onboard nav computer run Crysis?

Think of all the people on a boat that size. That's a lot of poo in storage.

looks like a block of council flats stacked on a ships hull.... at least the old liners looked elegant and graceful.

Add to that the cost of buying different ammunitions for the whole military currently deployed in the middle east
and the cost their food supply and fuels too.
