XP - What are these folders?

Hi all - I have XP Pro. I would like to know what these folders are & what created them. They show up in the "show hidden folders" mode. The resone I ask is because I think they are created from a reset during an XP lock-up. If so, can the be deleted?
Some drives have 1, "FOUND.000", other drives have 2, "FOUND.000" & "FOUND.001". Thanks for your time. Pack'nHeat

Look on this <A HREF="http://www.microsoft.com/WINDOWS2000/techinfo/reskit/en/ProRK/pref_tts_ffgh.htm" target="_new">page</A>, under "Correcting Problems by Using Chkdsk".

This means that an incompatible driver or another problem is causing hard lockups, and you are experiencing data corruption as a result.

i believe you can clear out those folders out by using disk clean up...just FYI...
