Hi, I just finished formating my computer and installing a fresh version of Xp. When the computer boots it has this error msg: "02B2: Incorrect drive type A" - and the computer beeps. I can press either F1 to resume or F2 to go to the setup. I know this problem is quite common as i have read in a few forums but I haven't found a clear solution. Thats where you come in!:)

1. I'll try switching the options in the Floppy Disk section in the bios. maybe that would work.

thanks

first off, what manufacturer is your floppy disk drive. Secondly, do you have pin one connected correctly to the back of the floppy drive unit? Some Sony Floppy drives that I have had (and still have one as well) seem to have the connector on the back of the drive upside down...so I had to cut off the stub on the floppy rounded cable I have to be able to work with my drive...just a thought...
