I have two hard drives that have been NTFS formated when I connect them to my raid controller and try to create an array, set up says there are no available disks, even though the controller does see the disks.Anyone know whats up?Thanks Nick.

The controller sees the disks already partitioned and cannot build an array. Try fdisk, delete all partitions on the drives and try again. Then you can use fdisk to create a new partitions on the new big RAID volume.

Yes, you may use fdisk from win98 boot disk. You should find not-DOS partitions and you must delete them together with other partitions.
If it doesn't work you need to delete the old partion by a low level format software which can be downloaded from the internet site of the hdd brand.
