Hiya.
My dad has a Celeron 1.2Ghz machine with I think 128 Meg RAM, running
on an old NVidia 32meg RAM video card. Anyway, he bought
and installed the LOMAC game on his machine and since I was
staying afar from him in another state, I was curious to know
if LOMAC could run on his machine.
Another thing is my dad is a technophobe who has almost never
learnt to use a PC in his life. The reason why he bought LOMAC
was because he loves planes, the military, war comics, WWII stuff,
you get the idea.
So the other day he called me to say that in LOMAC you get to fly
4 (?) jet planes, and gave me the impression that he was up and
running LOMAC - which impressed me! Wow! My dad finally gets to
play his first flight sim and it's LOMAC!
The truth came to light when a few weeks later I was back in my
hometown. I decided to see if my dad's PC could actually run
LOMAC (after all, he did mention the types of planes that could
fly, so he must have played it). What happened was it took almost
an eternity of hard disk lightup before the menu came on. The
menu of course has the picture icons of the jet planes in the sim.
After the game reached the menu stage, the PC froze (hanged up).
So in the end, my dad whom I am still proud of, knew about what
planes he coulf fly in LOMAC because he could see the planes on
the menu screen...but he couldn't proceed any further than that
due to the requirements of the game and the limitations of his PC.

Hi,
You did help him upgrade his PC to run LOMAC... didn't you?
Ken.

I'm on hyperlobby ( hyperlobby.sk) *sometimes*.
After the long weekend I should have some time to relax, so if you're
about, we could setup a short game.
