I have had a great deal of problems running this drive, I am now glad to say that I have found the solution. Do not connect this drive with an 80 pin ide cable, use only 40 pin cables. It will only run in pio mode with an 80 pin cable and won't burn at 2X, if you try and run it in dma mode then you will end up with a lot of expensive coasters. (comunication Error), after a couple of minutes of burning. I don't know why but this drive will only function properly if connected with a 40 pin ide cable, so there.
