Intermittent Sond effects on Audigy

Hi,
I've noticed on many games, certain sound effects will work some of the time & not others. A gun for example will make a sound for a few rounds & then be silent for a few, or a plane will be ok & then be silent for a few seconds.

I'm using the latest drivers. Is my sound card faulty or are these known issues with the Audigy.

The Audigy is based on the Live. This issue has been known to exist for a long time, but seems to be intermittant and affected by many other system variables.
