How do i remove notepad from windows 7 home

I am trying to disable windows note pad how to I do that

I don't really understand the point of disabling it and am not sure it can be simply disabled without any workarounds. But you can certainly remove any links to notepad and have .txt files open in wordpad by default, etc.

Is notepad interfering in any way?

I dont have microsoffice so when I open an attachement it goes to note pad and the text is not readable.
