Looking to get either Audigy2 or soundblaster gamer/both are 99 dollars.Which would you recommend?

Yes, they do affect framerate.

If your gonna buy a Creative SC of course you should get the audigy 2..... If your not stuck on creative then add the GTXP 6.1 to the list and research em both on the net, one has more features the other has better bottom line quality.

Windows is like a house of cards... One wrong move and it all comes crashing down.

I'd take a GTXP 6.1. I have an audigy, and it's not a bad card. It's not as good as my dad's TB Santa Cruz in terms of sound quality, but TB is more of an Audiophile grade company too.

I miss my ATI Radeon 64mb ViVo SE :frown:

Tough choice. Right now i use the GTXP 6.1 and i'm extremely happy with it for music movies and gaming.

you only loose around 5 fps max with cards of audigy, sonicfury level...

no-one shouts louder than someone who is being ignored, or in the case of techies, to be heard over the noise of their PC's ;-)
