I want to connect my xp pc to internet connected windows 7 pc
i have a window7 laptop connected with wireless internet and i have a another window xp pc . I want to connect my pc to internet via my laptop with enthernet cable..
If one computer has gigabit Ethernet port just connect them with a cable and set ICS (internet connection sharing) in the Windows 7 laptop. If both are just 10/100 adapters then you need a crossover cable for the connection as neither would have autoMDIX.
The other alternative to ICS (with the same cable issue as above) is to highlight both the adapters in the Windows 7 machine right click and choose bridge adapters, but for that ICS must be off.
