Hi there....
I can't decide on whether to get
1GB of PC2700 Kingston C2.5
or
512MB of PC2700 Crucial XMS

How much RAM are you guys Using/?.. Is there a program to test total RAM utilization??
As you can see from the above I just need to add an additional USD 52.63 from the price of the Crucial to have 1GB.... (might be a little expensive for u guys coz' i'm in Malaysia)
WHat do you think I should get.....?/

not an Overclocker.
Just a casual Gamer..

My soon to be system is as follows.....

Pentium 4 2.8GHz
Asus p4pe or the soon to be available Dual Channel DDR Mobos.
Winfast GeForce 4ti 4600 if using the p4pe or the R9700p if using the dual channel DDR Mobo...
Western Digital SE

Any replies are appreciated...

512 is almost always enough for win XP/2k. 1 gig is, IMHO overkill. If the Crucial has a lower CAS then go for it.

Unless you are doing a lot of rendering or video editing you should not need more than 512 MB. Be better off to save your money and get the Radeon 9700 Pro instead of the GeForce Ti-4600.

512Mb is way more than enough, even for gaming AND video editing.
XMS is a Corsair brand, not Crucial.

Yep. Good stuff. I use almost the same stuff, slightly older type.
(512mb PC3200 Cas2.5 instead of cas2).
The black heatspreaders are sooo purdy

And 512mb is enough for 99% of people. Win2k and winXP both have mem & cpu usage graphs when you bring up the taskmanager (ctrl + alt + del).
