Hi,

I have an used computer that i wished to install linux on because the computer always giving an error of that there is no e-diagnosics on it and it needs an cd-rom to install that and i do not have that and neither can i found it in the HP support site. I was just wondering if theres a program that could wipe the hdd completely for a fresh install of ubuntu that can be booted either from a usb or cd-rom. the only specs that i find were 256mb ram, a pentium 4 ~1,5ghZ, 20gb hdd, a 200w suply and a NVIDIA Vanta-16.

Hope this helps for some interesting replies

there will be an option in the live cd to install puppy

puppy cannot be installed to an ntfs partition so it will ask you to reformat to ext3, let it do it

(sorry guys for posting a bad link, thanks admin for replacing. guys anti-virus programs can only remove they cannot protect you from viruses/malware. there the same as your doctor they only help you after you have got something)

Rickie - There is a dedicated linux section on this site. Post your question down there with as much detail as you can and we'll see what we can do for you.
