Hello all...

Just to let you know that the license agreements from Atari have been signed
and we're in the final stages of acquiring the source code to this classic
sim. Hopefully work should be starting on the new patch in the not too
distant future.

Anyone that would like to be considered for the development team please

Bloody hell! I thunked this sim was dead and buried - I threw the CD in the
trash about 6 weeks ago.

Does this mean that a decent follow-up to EF2000 is also in the cards?

Hehe, that'll teach you to be tidy ;-)

Maybe you could give your infinite improbability drive a particularly strong
cup of tea and see if it re-appears :-)

Hi FatKat,

A lot of people are interested in updating EF2000 however the present team
is solely focussed on TAW.

First thing to get rid of is the never ending supply of Class A fighters
in Third World theaters.

Thats a shame - I for one preferred EF2000 to TAW. Far more interesting
plane and the F22 will not perform half the role that was featured in TAW.
At least EF2000 was quite realistic.

I think if I revisited the game now i would be shocked at how bad it would
look. But way back then it looked fantastic. I revisited XCOM the other
month for old times sake asnd was shocked at how bad that looked now as
well. But the gameplay is still there! You cant beat the old games for that.

Hi Nats,

If you still have a copy give it a try, you won't be as disappointed as you
think ;-) Just crank up your Direct3D settings to full for FSAA and
Anisotropic filtering and it still looks quite good for its age.
