So i was looking at some reviews for a mobo at newegg, and at the site and the description of the item it said it supported ddr 266 and 333, but in several of the reviews people said they were running ddr 400 is this possible cuz i want to know whether to buy ddr 400 or 333

Unless you're talking about an nforce2 motherboard, stick with the DDR333.
