Hello,
I have a network, among three buildings, the two buildings which are 4 and 3 kilometers away from my vsat, the internet speed seems to be ok but for one which is about 7 -10 kilometers away seems to be very slow although my long range connection seems to be ok. what could be slowing the network? could it be the switch (10/100mps)?

Not sure I read this correctly. You are still using 10/100 switches to drive long haul optical connections. A common problem was that the connections would go to half duplex. Since most people now use gig ports to connect the uplinks for their switches you do not see this issue as often. It is unlikely it is the switch itself slowing you down when you do not have a duplex issue.
