What Operating system do you have?

What do you mean exactly when you open email attachments they go into media player? What email program and are you opening them or saving them?

I believe you have to associate a program to the e-mail for opening attachments or right click and save attachment to you desktop or folder then right click and go to properties then the general tab,you will see the line ...type of file then underneath that opens with and it will let you change what program opens that type of file......

Right click on a file that is not opening correctly and select "Open With". Choose the program from the list or browse for the correct program. Ensure you tick the box always use this program to open this file type. Hit OK. Fixed.
