  2. If your computer has an Ethernet port, check to see if the drivers are installed. Does the network card show up in the Windows device manager? If you have an adapter and drivers, then start checking cables and other network components.
  3. What exactly are you saying that you don't have , the actual connection with the IP address ? Is the newtork adaptor there in the connections page and can't connect or is the network adaptor not there. Which is it exactly.
    If you go to the network connections page and don't see anything then your lan controller in the bios is disabled and you have to go into the bios and enable it.
  4. Check in the bios to see if the lan controller is enabled.
