I own a Gateway Destination XTV monitor (27 inch). The rest of my system is custom built (Athlon XP, Radion AIW 8500DV). The monitor is the only piece I kept from my old system because it is the only monitor I've found that really functions well as a living room entertainment system. The problem is that I can't push the resolution above 800 x 600. I have a game (Civ III) that requires a minimum of 1024 x 768. Does anyone know of a way to trick the system into accepting a higher resolution on a monitor that isn't built for it? my primary use for the machine is gaming. I don't want to change monitors, but I'm worried that more and more games will come out with similar resolution requirements.

Round the world and home again, home again...
