Dhcp is not enabled for local area connection in windows 7

Hello,
dhcp is not enabled for local area connection in windows 7" my error is this and
each time when I on my pc it will ask for a new connection......
help me pleaseeeee...... thanks in advance

You did not mention if you are connected via wired or wireless connection.....


You can check it by going to network and sharing from your control panel

then go to change adapter settings

open the properties for your local area connection if you are connected via wired connection

open properties for TCP/IPv4 and set it to Obtain an IP Address Automatically and obtain DNS Server Automatically click ok.

do the same with TCP/IPv6.

----------- or ------------

open the properties for your wireless network connection if you are connected via wireless connection

and do the same procedure

If you have both connectios it is better to make sure that both of them are set to automatically obtain IP Addresses.
