Invalid configuration information - please run SETUP program.

I thought of that and I do have one but unfortunately I cannot boot it. I cannot get to the F2 page to change the cd-rom to primary to run the disk. Nothing happens when the screen tells me to go to F2 setup.

what about "f12" pick a boot device?

I tried that also and startup is just hung up. When it initially troubleshooted after about an hour it quit and gave me details the last good configuration was 2004 of all times. safe mode worked at first and restore also but to no avail.

is my hard drive not irrepairable and do i need to change it?

windows 7 install disk will not boot from the dvd drive
