I've had my Teac 4x scsi cdr for several years and it has always paused when accessing a cd. Is this normal with scsi drives, or there a way around this?

thanks,
nathan

Paused in what way? When you first insert the CD or whenever u try to access it.

There is allways a delay at the start, time to get the cd spinning, then if the disk has been in the drive for ages it often spins down to save power and reduce noise, To access it it must spin up again.
