A1000 - lock handset after nn minutes

Is it possible to have the A1000 lock itself after say 15 minutes of
non-use instead of everytime I push the slide-button on the right-hand
side that it locks the unit?
Also, it is a hassle to have to use the stylus everytime to input the
code so I can unlock the unit to use it. (the numbers aren't in a
calculator format and they are so tiny!)
