Hello, i am having truble setting up my motorola sb5101u routor i have got it so i can connect to it with me oc but if i give my internet to my frend to use in her macbook it can not connect we also have a usb internet cord(i dont know the real name for them) adn i can get it to connect using that ether

do you have a router connected to the modem?

for your friend to connect to the internet via the network cable coming from the modem, you will have to, most likely, reboot the modem after switching computers
