I want to connect my 100hz 32" widescreen TV to my pc. The general feeling i get is that a radeon is the way to go. Is this right and is there going to be a difference in the tv picture quality between say a radeon 9000 and a 9700?

Any Radeon will work fine. I picked up a Radeon 7000 on the cheap and am using it to display to my 53" TV. Looks great even at > 640x480.

did you already buy the TV? The reason I ask is that many wide screen TV's are available with a 1024x768 analog XVGA input from your computer VGA connection. This of course is far superior to even the Svideo cable. Such TV's often say TV/Monitor on them.

Is there a limit on the length of the cable between PC and the TV before quality is affected? Maybe type of cable matters? Recommendations?
