Hi everyone, first post here.
i looked around and couldnt find a proper answer for me, i am trying to get wifi before i build my shuttle sz77r5 case, can anyone recommend me a mini pcie wifi card to use. Secondly does a mini pcie wifi NEED antennas to work (how come laptops which use these cards dont need antennas), as there are no holes for the connections in the back of the case for antennas.

You don't need external antennae, but I would use a USB wireless adapter instead of mPCIe -- there are many very good models available, easy install, and work quite well.

They all actually have antennae, just some are large and some small enough that you don't see them.

I would get a USB not mPCIe adapter: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E168...

I've used many (>50) of them and find them more reliable and convenient than PCI/PCIe. I think that model will work well for you.
