For two channels for $2000, I would suggest a used Prism or the higher end
Lavry units. Weiss gear turns up used in that range as well.

I'm biased - having worked with them.

I'll bet the Prism unit is the most *accurate*. A fine tradition of quality sound
engineering in that company ( not to denigrate the others of course ) based on Neve
experience of digital audio - the originators of the first digital desks - and you
don't get a much better grounding than that !

Warm, Accurate but a little inflated. Just to give you am example if you ever
used an Ensoniq Sampler
(ASR 10, ASR 88) but better. Hopes this helps you help me??
