Attempting Port Forwardin

Hey all!

I'm attempting to get my Trendnet router to forward ports for Minecraft, going through a bridged DSL modem. I'm confident I've opened the correct ports, I've set up a static IP, and I've allowed the minecraft server through my Windows firewall... and now I'm at a loss. I cannot seem to ping my external IP address, regardless of what I try. Any ideas?

routers by default are setup to NOT answer to ping requests that's why you cannot ping it

Hmm, well, that's good to know. Is that why no one can connect via that port?

what public port are they trying to connect to?

some ISPs block certain ports

The port is 25565... and I'm reasonably certain that my ISP isn't blocking it, as I've gotten this to work before. I'm stumped!
