How to make my asus computer stop making a horrible beep

Every time i want to use the computers sound it starts making a horrible beep sound, very high pitch. I tried using the sound settings but nothing, if i disable the mic then i cannot hear anything i want to play on netflix.....i cant use skype or any other program designed to use sound without hearing this beep... help? I have an Asus computer
