Hi,

Need to add free HDD space from one partition to another partition

Here are the details for Mac Mini machine

HDD: 60 GB
1st partition - 20 GB ---- Free space 2 GB
2nd partition - 20 GB ---- Free space 6 GB
3rd partition - 20 GB ---- Free space 9 GB

I want to add 5 GB free space from 3rd partition to 1st partition.

When I"m doing re-size free HDD space to 1st partition, saying that, this partition can not be modified.

Please help.

parted should be able to do the job. The reason why it says it can't modify it would be that your OS resides on that partition?. Which would then make sense, since you cant modify an online partition.
