before i go to the store this weekend and pick up a soundcard, i was wondering what the difference between these two cards are? i've heard from people that there isn't a hardware difference, that the 7.1 comes with updated drivers for 7.1 audio (which you could just download for the 6.1 package.) is this true? given most places are charging around $15 more for the gtxp7.1 over the 6.1, is it simply just the drivers that are different?

6.1 and 7.1 are the same. Get a 6.1, go to Hercules, download the latest drivers and save $15.
