I have a Plextor 12/10/32A burner on a computer with Win98se OS and Adaptec CD Creator 4 program. I usually format the CD-RW disk so I can drag and drop files onto the disk (using it like a floppy). 99% of the time after I save some stuff and then press the eject button, the tray doesn't come out. I always have to go to My computer> rightclick Properties > then Setting > then click the UNLOCK button. Only then, when I press the eject button again, the tray pops out / eject. My question: Why is my Plextor tray door locking up all the time after I use it? I hate having to go to the properties setting and clicking the UNLOCK button before pressing the eject button on burner. Thanks in advance for your help.
I don't have a writer right now on the system that has EZ CD Creator. I can't check this but see if DirectCD has an option to lock the disk after writing or right click on the writer icon and check the properties or Shift + Right click on the icon for more options.
I thought I saw the option there somewhere.
99% is great, unless you are talking about system stability
