Net Use System Error 66 on Windows 8
I need to set up a Net Use command for a customer that has a new laptop purchased from Best Buy with Windows 8. I have a laptop with Windows 8 (upgrade from Win 7) and have no problem connecting to LPT1 with the NET USE commad. The printer is connected to USB001 but legacy software needs the Net Use for LPT1. I have installed the Microsoft KM-Test Loopback Adapter which did not solve the problem. The Loopback Adapter has solved problems before on earlier OS systems. We get System error 66 and have verified the computer name and printer share name several times. Thanks for any other ideas.
