Im looking to buy a new computer and I am unsure as to which HD to buy. What is the best HD? Is there a link to the best HD out there. I am not looking for SCSI. A drive around 20-60Gb is fine

I would recommend a Western Digital, or a Maxtor. If you get a 40 or a 60 GB drive stay away from IBM, as they had some trouble with those drives.

Get WD Special Edition or Maxtor w/ 8MB of CACHE ATA100 or 133 7200rpm. Both are very good HDs. Review of HDs http://www.storagereview.com

Send all your money to me. I will spend it for you!

Seriously, either the Western Digital 'JB' series in 40Gb (400JB) 60Gb (600JB) or 80Gb (800JB) or the new Maxtor Diamondmax 9 series.

Only problem is the max 9 series of drives are very new, and havn't seen any benchmarks or comparisons of them yet.
