PC2700 in Asus A7N266-VM AA board?

On the crucial site it recommends either PC2100 or PC2700 DD-SDRAM... the board specs say it handles PC1600/PC2100. Can i use PC2700 and is it really worth the extra 20-30 bucks for 512MB at 2700 instead of 2100? Thanks in advance.

Yes you can use pc2700, but it may only run at pc2100 speeds unless you overclock. What is the model of the mobo? Did you check the manufacturers website for possible BIOS updates which will let you use pc2700 at stock speeds?
