Computer Sleep Problems

Hello,
Sometimes when I click start and sleep on my computer (windows 7) the monitor will go to sleep but the computer is still running. I cannot wake my monitor up so there is nothing I can do to wake it up besides manually turning it off using the button on the computer case. Any suggestions?

check your BIOS settings, check that PLL overvoltage is turned off (if it is on, it will not recover from sleep properly as above, I had that problem too ) also check that the sleep mode/power state is set to S3.
