WinXP Logs Off as soon as you Log On

Hello!

My computer with Windows XP Pro logs off as soon as you log on. The same thing happens with all the accounts. You can log on in Safe Mode. I have tried using System Restore and MSCONFIG, but it does not help.

I don't think I installed any new software.

Can anyone tell me how to fix this?

From the sound of it, you have an activation issue. You have 30 days to activate retail copies of Windows XP. Failure to do so prevents you from logging in until you activate it. You have a couple of options... phone MS for an activation key or allow the computer to dial out to activate via modem. Wiping an reloading the drive is also an option.

Hello!

Yes, I discovered it is a WPA issue.

I purchased the OEM Win XP Pro version, but I didn't want to give MS more info than necessary so I used a crack to disable WPA. Guess it didn't work!

I reinstalled XP without formatting and it works fine. I do, of course, still have a Activate it.
