Wi-fi connectivity issues

Hello, my mom and i have been trying to configure our wireless-n broadband router so that we can put up a password. before this, all our devices were able to connect to the router and we were able to get internet connections. After following the manual we were able to put up a password and all devices can connect to the router but only my laptop is able to connect to the internet. my mother said this is probably because my laptop was used to configure the wi-fi. we've tried troubleshooting but it doesn't help. we've tried all we could think of but still no use. please help.
