No Sound

I upgraded my OS from WinNT4 to Win XP, only to find that my sound card integrated onto the motherboard is not recognised. The computer thinks there is no sound card.

Please advise.

DId you do a clean install or an upgrade on top of your old os?

Did you install the sound card driver? You should obtain the latest driver for WinXP and not WinNT.
