Sennheiser VSM-201 vocoder

I am considering selling famous Sennheiser VSM-201 vocoder in
excellent condition. Have no idea about its current market value.
Would be nice to get any indications. Thanks in advance.

Hello, thanks for the feedback, however i think the seller had to be
crazy asking such price.

More significantly, the buyer had to be crazy to pay such a price. But
that's the way it works. You can't buy one off the shelf at your local
music store and there aren't on-line dealers shaving a few dollars off
the price, so it's a seller's market.

I haven't heard tht vocoder mentioned in quite a while, but I recall
that before a similar effect was available on DAWs with relatively
inexpensive plug-in software, the Sennheiser was going for several
thousand bucks when you could find someone willing to sell. If you
need it for real time live work, it could be just the ticket, but you
can probably make similar weird noises with effect pedals designed for
guitars for a couple of hundred bucks.

My Sennheiser VSM 201 cost me 7500 euro, but it was owned by Kraftwerk and used on their albums Man machine and Computer world, that has driven the price up slightly....(-: still I simly luuuuv the machine, listen on http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lqGpZJ7ZYec
